I agree with you 100%. I think this is nothing short of social media being allowed to go too far. "This social media thing is taking over the world like lewd GoDaddy commercials (jokes)... what else can we infuse it with. I GOT IT." - unfortunately this won't be the last time, we hear of social media being paired with some other form of entertainment or information gathering. There already pushing something similar right now through Comcast or Verizon FiOS, where you can connect with different social platforms through your tv while you're watching it. Virtually the same thing as what you mentioned. Dude... NO!!!

sounds like Jeff could definitely be on to something. this may only be relevant and of use, to a certain type of individual. not a large enough group of people to really make a difference... then again, who knows.

I think this is also a nerd thing, though the comments are less conversational and more meant to be funny (MST3K, Rocky Horror, scifi and horror retrospectives, and most recently The Room). Though my favorite movie outburst came from a frat-sounding dude in a white theater during Varsity Blues. James Vanderbeek was approached onscreen by this blonde girl with whipped cream on her lady parts, and as soon as he turned her down, I heard this exasperated voice several rows back exclaim loudly "God damnit Dawson!"
